The smooth sounds of rhythm and blues have shown itself in the the upcoming album, Love At First Sight by the Milwaukee singer, Montrey Slayton. The 22 year old singer/songwriter and aspiring actor has used his natural ability to sing for several years. He began exploring the melodies and love of music at the tender age of just 2. He then used his Gospel roots to sing at his local church. As he grew older, he then explored the instruments that are vital in  creating music so that he was able to learn every aspect possible of being a successful upcoming artist. I would describe Love At First Sight  as  a very candid album. The gentle soul is speaking on his personal experiences and he only knows why he chose this title for his first album. Slayton's voice is naturally of a Gospel tone; it is deep and shares his stories of love. He reverted to more R&B and Pop style songs to develop a bigger audience and does not want limit himself to just Gospel music. He has released songs like, "Love Song," "Love Drug," "Running Away," and "Dance The Night Away" in anticipation for the upcoming album. He definitely has fans of his music. I have personally favorited "Good Enough," "Superhero" and "Running Away" on the album. These songs tell the story of broken hearts and the true feelings that are essential parts of daily life. Slayton has used his best ability to touch the hearts of those surrounding him. He is a working progress and  will continue to learn and grow to become a better singer/songwriter everyday. The Christian-like sounds of Montrey have converted to R&B/Pop and it sounds pleasant in either genre. The upcoming singer has had opportunities to meet with and write songs for singers of the current music industry. I am personally looking forward to hearing a Gospel holiday album for the upcoming winter. Slayton has not abandoned his Gospel beginnings and some are anxious on hearing  him spread the blessing of his message through Gospel music again. The fans of Montrey have a  good album to look forward to so please be sure to download it October 7th.
